This concert combines the crystal clear romantical expression of German romanticism with the fiery rhythms of Argentinian tango. Felix Mendelssohn’s piano trio charms with its lyrical tunes, virtuosity and chamber musical sensitivity. Astor Piazzolla’s Four Seasons takes the listener to the beats of Buenos Aires, where the tango nuevo’s passion and contrasts come alive in the arrangement for piano trio. The program takes the listener on a journey through two different musical worlds that also complete each other.
